GOD’S WAY OF RESTORATION IN A TIME LIKE THIS
TEXT: ISAIAH 48:16-22; 31:1-3
Introduction: The anxiety of what it will look like Post Covid-19 is rife in the air. Fear, panic, pessimism, negative economic prediction and all what have you are all ups. As it is common to men, many ideas of how to live hereafter, especially economic wise are already flying in the air. The issue here is how the children of God, people of the kingdom of God are so gullible in believing and employing the world counsel instead of first seeking Him who rules in the affairs of men, what is His solution or way out of the quagmire. We need to ask ourselves, is it that God our LORD has no plan for preservation and restoration of what has been affected by the pandemic? 2 Kings 1:16 “He told the king” this is what the LORD says, is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal–Zebub, the god of Ekron?…”. Check out its consequence.
As much as God has given men some wisdom about something,(” Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Prov 3:4), the appropriate place to start from is to inquire of the LORD, to know what your own peculiar way to recovery is. (1 Samuel 30:6-8) God’s help is here continuing with us as He leads us through His own ways of recovering and restoring His people in a time like this. Please pay attention and follow through, you will not regret obeying Him.

Conclusion: Considering the word of God about hard times that may come upon His people at any given time, He has laid out what ought to be done so that we would not be moved or negatively be impacted but remains God’s testimonies, so that the whole world may know that “He is God” beside Him there is none else.
Joel 2:21-27 “Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the Lord has done great things. Be not afraid, O wild animals, for the open pastures are becoming green. The trees are bearing their fruit; the fig tree and the vine yield their riches. Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. ‘I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten — the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm— my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed. Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed” (NIV).
Shalom!
